Have you ever wondered what Jurassic Park would have been like with Godzilla and his friends instead of dinosaurs? Actually, scratch that – doesn’t matter if you thought about it or not, this book is the answer to that question, even if you’ve never asked it.
In case you’re wondering what a Kaiju is: it’s a Japanese term (duh!), and describes these large monsters, like Godzilla and the other monsters that can step on a building and crush it effortlessly.

I know that John Scalzi is, kind of, a controversial author. There are people who hate him, and there are those who love him. I belong to the second group (but in a strictly no-romance-fashion, you know? Not love love, just like love.)
Because John Scalzi takes crazy ideas and explores them in a humorous way. He has yet to fail to entertain me. His writing style is light, funny and kind of fast flowing, you know? I usually take up one of his novels and down it in one or two days.
This one, I’ve read in one day, in exactly two sessions. (I had a BBQ break in between, because my family – like the Kaijus my two teenage boys are – needed to be fed.)
Give it a shot if you like crazy ideas and cool dialogues.
